We are a grassroots community that helps feed and uplift vulnerable families in Barbados.

WHAT WE DO

Bajans Helping Bajans is a volunteer driven community effort that has supported thousands of families in Barbados since 2020 with food hampers, clothing and back to school supplies. We assist vulnerable households across the island, including the elderly and disabled, and also coordinate an annual back to school drive.We also keep our community connected through our popular Facebook page, where we share job opportunities, uplifting content and notices for assistance. This is a space built on generosity, neighbours helping neighbours and the quiet strength of people who care.

HOW WE DO IT

Bajans Helping Bajans is a grassroots organisation. We therefore do not accept any direct monetary donations. We rely on the generosity of our community to do this work, namely Bridge Supermarket, the Zander Venezia Trust and the Diane Wood Foundation, Woolworths, Abeds, PickUp, Sol South Gas Stations, Champers Restaurant (Pictured), Then What Charity, Matcha Run Club and the Uniform Factory Outlet.

HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT

People can support Bajans Helping Bajans by:

  • Contributing to our account at Bridge Supermarket (Their team volunteers to pack the food hampers, pictured)

  • Purchasing vouchers from our partners: Woolworths, Abeds and the Uniform Factory Outlet

  • Volunteering their time with deliveries

  • Sharing our work or connecting us with families in need make a real difference

We are developing a shared, community-led initiative focused on coordinating food hamper support, strengthening collaboration among organisations, and reducing duplication.
